Hand-Sewn Flower using English Paper Piecing

$50.00

-or-

Saturday, November 8 - 1-3:30pm

This easy, portable hand sewing technique called English Paper Piecing is easy to learn and a great way to be creative without a sewing machine.  The process uses small pieces of fabric so it is an ideal scrap fabric or upcycling project.

This class will walk you through three ways to complete most steps of the process so you can choose the techniques that work best for you. You can expect to create covered 1-inch hexagons and begin joining them in the configuration of your choice. The most common is a flower arrangement.  These small pieces can be used as decoration or patches. If you like the technique, they can be the start of a larger project.

Cost of class includes materials, instruction by a local artist, and required tools. Feel free to bring your own fabric scraps to use; pieces should be at least 2.5x2.5 inches.
