Saturday, November 1 - 1-4pm
In this mystery-infused time of cross-cultural holy days in remembrance of ancestors, we will share an afternoon of art & reflection, to honor and remember those who have passed.
This workshop invites you to consider ancestry widely: An ancestor could be family, friend, spiritual, or creative figure that has influenced your life, a pet, or even a species!
Our art process will weave found imagery into a piece that holds memory and meaning, in an intuitive collage process. (Intuitive collage encourages spontaneity, and daring to trust your creative intuitions, and centers the process of creating and the meaning art holds rather than the aesthetics of the finished product.)
After we create, we’ll listen, with guided reflection and journaling, for the wisdom, stories, and meaning, that come through our creations, and have the opportunity to share, in circle, if desired.
No art experience needed, just a YES to diving into creative process!
Materials will be provided, though you are also welcome to bring your own collage materials to add, if you have something you wish to incorporate.
